The Commemorative Tee for the EUSA European Universities Games 2024 includes the ‘climate stripes’ on both sleeves. The climate stripes were created by Professor Ed Hawkins at the University of Reading in 2018 to educate on the significance of global warming and raise awareness of climate change across the world with a series of vertical-coloured bars, showing the progressive heating of our planet in a single image. Each stripe on the Commemorative Tee represents the average temperature in Europe for a single year, relative to the average temperature over the period, as a whole, between 1850-2024. Shades of blue indicate cooler-than-average years, while red shows years that were hotter than average. The stark band of deep red stripes on the right-hand side of the graphic show the rapid heating of our planet in recent decades.

In addition, the Commemorative Tee reflects the significance of representing universities from across the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The BUCS logo on the left sleeve as National University Sports Federation for the United Kingdom, the official EUSA Games 2024 logo on the right sleeve and ‘Great Britain’ text on the back. The Union Flag is placed on the left chest with embroidered text below to commemorate the Games.

The Commemorative Tee includes the skyline of iconic landmarks from across the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
